Vaccine passes no longer required for council facilities
While the country remains at red in the Covid Protection Framework, it is no longer necessary to show a My Vaccine Pass to access the Community Hub, NBS Theatre, or council’s campgrounds.
Buller District Council’s human resources and health and safety advisor Glenda Martyn says the council continues to implement the government’s guidelines and it is still necessary to take action to protect our vulnerable communities and our health system from Covid 19.
“It’s not necessary to show a vaccine pass at council facilities anymore, however, staff will still be following the government’s guidelines and face masks are still required in most indoor settings.
Visitors to council venues will be asked to continue with the hygiene protocols of wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and sanitising their hands.
“We welcome the changes and are looking forward to holding more events at the theatre.
“Most people are now aware of the simple things we can do to protect ourselves and others from Covid and are generally happy to oblige.”
